How to Play Flood Cube

The Basic Rules

The goal of Flood Cube is simple to understand but incredibly difficult to master: color every single face on the 3D cube the exact same color.

Strategic Tips

Unlike 2D games, you must rotate the cube! Click and drag to spin the 3D cube and see the hidden faces. A solid strategy involves finding colors that connect the front face to the back face early in the match, creating a web that quickly eats up large chunks of the board.

Game Modes Explained

Daily Double

The core daily experience. Every player in the world gets the exact same two cubes. Cube 1 is a 6x6 grid, and Cube 2 is a harder 7x7 grid. Win both under the par move limit to claim victory for the day and secure your spot on the daily leaderboard.

Challenge Cube

A weekly gauntlet. A massive, complex cube configuration that resets once a week. You only get three official attempts to score a medal (Gold, Silver, Bronze) based on how quickly you clear it.

Infinite Zen

For those who want to practice or relax without move limits restricting their progress. The cube keeps generating randomly forever. Your goal is simply to clear as many cubes as possible in an endless streak.

Power Mode (Premium)

Special modified cubes where you have access to powerups, such as the Color Bomb (clears surrounding tiles regardless of color) and the Time Freeze. This introduces an entirely new layer of tactical depth. By strategically saving your powerups for the end of the puzzle, you can salvage a game that would otherwise be lost.

Detailed Scoring System and Move Limits

Success in Flood Cube is fundamentally tied to efficiency. Every puzzle you face in the Daily Double, Challenge Cube, or Infinite mode is generated with a strictly calculated "Par" move count. This is the mathematically optimal minimum number of moves required to solve the specific color distribution of that cube.

Your goal is to flood the entire cube using a number of moves less than or equal to this Par value. If you exceed the move limit, the cube breaks, and the game is over. If you solve it in exactly the Par number of moves, you earn the standard points. However, the true test of mastery is finding solutions that are under Par. For every move you save beneath the Par limit, you are awarded substantial bonus points, which are crucial for dominating the global leaderboards.

Advanced Strategies for Mastery

If you find yourself consistently failing on the 7x7 cubes, or struggling to maintain a streak in Infinite mode, it's time to refine your strategy beyond simply picking the most prominent color on the screen.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What happens if I forget my login?

If you lose access to your account, you can use the "Forgot Password" functionality on the login modal to reset your credentials. We strongly recommend linking a Google account to ensure you never lose your progress or leaderboard rankings.

How often do the Daily Double puzzles reset?

The Daily Double puzzles reset strictly at midnight UTC. This ensures that players around the globe all transition to the new pair of cubes at the exact same moment, keeping the leaderboard competition fair and perfectly synchronized.

Why did I fail a puzzle when I still had two colors left?

You failed because you ran out of allowable moves. It's not just about turning the cube one solid color; it's about doing it efficiently. Always keep an eye on the "Moves Remaining" counter prominently displayed during gameplay.

Is Flood Cube actually solvable 100% of the time?

Yes. Every single cube generated by our algorithm, regardless of size or mode, is mathematically vetted to guarantee that a solution exists within the calculated Par move limit. If you fail, it simply means you haven't found the optimal sequence yet!
